COOKIE POLICY

This Cookie Policy (“Cookie Policy”) provides information about the data processing related to cookies and similar technologies (hereinafter collectively: “cookies”) used on the website www.euro-pack.hu (the “Website”) operated by [Euro-Pack Logistics Kft.] (registered office: [2225 Üllő Zöldmező utca 1.], the “Company” or “Controller”) for visitors of the Website (hereinafter: “Visitors” or “Data Subjects”).

The Company’s Privacy Policy regarding other data processing activities carried out on the Website is available at this link. For matters not regulated in this Cookie Policy (e.g. the rights of Data Subjects, remedies, the Company’s and its Data Protection Officer’s contact details regarding data protection issues), the provisions of the Privacy Policy shall apply. Please read that as well!

Information on the use of cookies

  • The Website uses cookies for various purposes: some are essential for the operation of the Website, while others serve convenience, statistical, marketing, or other purposes. Cookies are generally used to identify the Visitor and distinguish them from other users, to record the fact of visiting the Website and other information related to the visit. Under the GDPR and other applicable laws, the use of cookies qualifies as processing of personal data, since cookies may be suitable for identifying specific natural persons.
  • A cookie is a small data package/file consisting of letters and numbers, which is placed on the Visitor’s computer (or other device, such as a tablet or smartphone) after opening the Website – and if consent is required, after giving such consent. The purpose of cookies is to operate the Website or improve its efficiency, and they also send information to the Website owner. Cookies inform the Controller about Visitors’ habits related to the use of the Website. With the help of cookies, the Controller can personalize the Website according to the habits of Visitors, thus making it more user-friendly.
  • Cookies can generally be classified in several ways, for example:
  • Based on their duration, they can be:
    • session cookies, which are deleted when the browser is closed, or
    • persistent cookies, which are stored on the user’s device for a certain period between sessions,
  • Based on who places the cookie:
    • first-party cookies, which are set by the website visited by the Visitor (i.e., the URL shown in the browser’s address bar), or
    • third-party cookies, which are set by a domain different from the one visited by the user (e.g., images from another site, social media plugins, or advertisements),
  • Based on their purpose or function, such as:
    • strictly necessary cookies: these cookies are essential for operating the website, ensuring its functionality, providing its basic features, and maintaining system security;
    • statistical cookies: collect technical data not necessary for the immediate operation of the website, used for future development, visitor number measurement, and understanding how Visitors interact with the site;
    • marketing (targeting, advertising) cookies: track Visitors to display relevant advertisements and help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns;
    • functional cookies, which allow websites to remember users’ choices (e.g., language, username, font, text size, etc.).
  • The cookies actually used on the Website, along with their categories, purposes, durations, and descriptions, can be accessed via the “Cookie settings” floating button at the bottom of the Website. More information about cookie settings and the use of the “Cookie settings” menu can be found in Section 3 below.

Legal basis for data processing:

The legal basis for processing personal data collected by strictly necessary cookies for the operation of the Website is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, i.e., the legitimate interest of the Controller, which lies in the Company’s ability to operate and maintain the Website securely and ensure its basic functionality.

For all other cookies not strictly necessary for the operation of the Website, the legal basis is the voluntary, prior consent of the Data Subject (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

Cookie settings:

At the bottom of the Website, a pop-up window informs Visitors that the Website uses cookies, and further information about cookies can also be accessed from this window:

Firstly, detailed information on the specific cookies used on the Website is available by clicking the “Cookie settings” button. The interface that opens after pressing the “Cookie settings” button contains not only information about cookies (and their categories, purposes, durations, and descriptions) but also allows Visitors to manage their cookie preferences (consent, modification, withdrawal) as described below.

Secondly, this window also provides access to the current Cookie Policy by clicking the “Cookie Policy” button.

After reading the information set out in Section 3.1 above, Visitors can decide whether to allow all cookies. In this case, simply pressing the “Accept all” button is sufficient. If the Visitor does not wish to allow any cookies – except for strictly necessary cookies – this can be done by pressing the “Reject all” button. The specific rules regarding strictly necessary cookies are contained in Section 2.1 above and Section 3.5 below.

If the Visitor does not want to accept or reject all cookies at once, they can access the “Cookie settings” menu via the button in the pop-up window at the bottom of the Website. There, they can select which cookies (and the related data collection and processing) they consent to and which they do not. This can be done by ticking or unticking the boxes next to each cookie category or individual cookie. By default, the boxes are empty (i.e., not ticked), except for the boxes next to strictly necessary cookies. The Visitor can save their preferences by pressing the “Save settings” button.

Visitors can modify or withdraw their consent or cookie settings at any time later, again via the “Cookie settings” menu, as described in Section 3.3 above.

As stated in Section 2 above, only strictly necessary cookies (Section 2.1) may be used without consent. Therefore, they cannot be modified in the “Cookie settings” menu, and no consent is requested for them (nor can consent be refused or withdrawn). However, detailed information about these cookies is also available in the “Cookie settings” menu.

Additionally, Visitors can also manage cookies via the browser settings of the device used for browsing. In this way, they can always configure, reject, or delete cookies already stored. It is important to note that if the Visitor uses multiple devices (e.g., computer, tablet, smartphone) to access the Website, the browser settings must be adjusted on each device separately. Settings and procedures regarding cookies differ for each browser and can be checked in the respective browser’s user manual. Typically, these options are found in the Tools / Settings / Privacy / History / Custom settings menu.

More information about cookies and how to disable them can also be found at http://www.youronlinechoices.com/.

If you completely disable (do not allow) cookies used on the Website, it may affect the user experience, for example, you may not receive personalized information, and certain convenience features may not be available.

You may also receive cookies when visiting third-party websites. The use of cookies on such third-party websites is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies.
